#205. DON’T make stickers so sticky that you can’t peel them off.

5 Comments 27 September 2012

I bought a book the other day and the first thing I did when I got it home was take the price sticker off—well attempt to take it off at least. After much picking, scraping and rubbing, all I managed to do was turn a neat sticker into a sticky mess of white crap. Even after a 10-minute scrubbing session with metho and a rag, still no good, my sticker was still stuck. Why do they make stickers that you can never peel off? Fuck knows.

I love your blog and I’m so jealous I didn’t think of this first. :) I’m new here on Blog.com and I have no idea how to add you to my blog roll so I can visit on a regular basis. Which the help section here was more…helpful.

Isn’t that so freaking annoying! I have to agree with you on this one :) What’s even worse is the stickers on tupperware that make it look super ghetto if you cannot manage to get the sticker off, but at least you can let those soak for a while and eventually force it off without damage. So in the end I guess it is worse on a book.

The only thing I found that works is lemon oil…. because if its a sticker on a book, cd, dvd what have you it must be off… it must be conqured and if it is a disgusting mess it ruins the whole casing….

When I was a student at the University (http://www.enu.kz) I had a problem with color stickers. I always stuck them on paper before write down something on it.
